——宿苏外2018春赴加修学团系列报道（五）
当地时间4月15日，是我们赴加修学团一行人期待已久的日子。这一天，我们要一起去动物园游玩。我们出发地点距离动物园大约50分钟车程。一下车，动物园入口处巨大的标志——被艺术化为动物形状的“ZOO”的字样，就映入眼帘，引人入胜。入口一侧竖立着一个盘卧着狮子形状的指示牌，上面的狮子少了分威风凛凛，多了分温柔可爱，好像在用热情的笑容欢迎远道而来的客人们。
The team of SSFLS taking part in the EnglishImmersion Program went to the zoo on April 15, which we had been expectingsince we got the schedule. It took us about 50 minutes to drive there. The artwriting of “zoo” jumped into sight just after we had got out of the cars. Onthe side of the gate stood a sign, on which a lying lion didn’t look majesticmore than cute, which seemed to welcome us.
“让我们一起向快乐出发！”大家兴高采烈地进了动物园。那广袤的草坪、茂密的松林，那一处处巧妙的造型设计……让我们在和可爱的动物互动的同时，还可以欣赏这美妙的景致，不得不说令人赏心悦目、心旷神怡！
“Let’s have fun today!” After entering the zoohappily, we not only interacted with those lovely animals, but enjoyed thewonderful sights as well due to the vast grassland, thick pines and thosedelicate designs of each habitat.
微风徐来，雪白的云朵在湛蓝的天空中缓缓地浮动。我们也慢下脚步，欣赏着眼前的一切。广阔的草地上，小草刚刚钻出头，嫩嫩的，绿绿的。远处的高头大马，一副威风凛凛的气势。同学们按捺不住心中的兴奋与好奇，都纷纷去骑马溜达溜达，之后还和附近的斑马们合了张靓影！寓意：万事“马”到成功！看那四处跳跃不止的小猴们，它们不停地在树枝间窜上窜下，时不时搔搔痒，顽皮而惹人喜爱。而一旁的大猴则截然不同，它安静地注视着小猴们，还时不时地望一眼我们这一群不速之客，似乎充满着好奇，又似乎警觉着什么。不远处的羊群，它们有的三五成群，有的悠闲散步，有的半躺半卧地吃草。一见到我们到来，它们就一拥而上，目光中充满渴望，大概是盯上了我们手中的食物吧！
With breeze blowing gently and snow-like cloudsflowing in the sky, we couldn’t help stop pacing slowly and enjoying thesights. The tiny, greenish grass has just sprout out on the vast grassland. Faraway standing a strong horse, some children couldn’t wait to ride it and afterthat they all took pictures with the zebras and the monkeys, through which theywished a good success and good luck. Those naughty cute little monkeys jumpedaround. They sometimes jumped in and off the tress and sometimes scratcheditches. However, the big monkeys were totally different from those littlemonkeys. They watched the little monkeys and occasionally looked at us withcuriosity and alert. There was a herd of sheep not far away form us. Someplayed in small groups, some strolled and some others grazed, half-lying andhalf-crouching on the ground. No sooner had the students showed up than theyran towards to them, with a possible desire to eat the children’s food.
走过草坪，来到了一个小池塘边。这里生活着一群羊驼，人们可以进入与它们互动。大大的眼睛上有长长的睫毛，看起来美丽动人。头顶上有一小撮毛，轻轻地垂下来，美丽中透出一点帅气。小巧的耳朵隐藏在脸两侧柔软的毛中。羊驼很温顺，也很胆怯，我们几次尝试与它们合影，它们总是一有点小声响就躲得远远的。
Walking past the lawn, we came to a pond, where some alpacas lived.Visitors can interact with them. They looked beautiful and a little handsomewith long eyelashes over big eyes and a cluster of hair down the forehead. Twosmall ears hid in the soft wool. Alpacas were so tame and timid that they ranaway from us owing to the small sounds we made when we managed to take pictureswith them.
进入森林，松树高大笔挺，郁郁葱葱。此时风吹开了云朵，阳光倾泻，从树尖儿一直洒下，慢慢地形成一缕缕光影。在林中，你还可以看到了松鼠，老鹰、黑熊和麋鹿。幸运的是，我们遇见了一只正在孵蛋的猫头鹰妈妈！当我们凑上前去，它立马用圆滚滚的身子盖紧了蛋宝宝们，两只眼睛瞪得大大的。它要时刻保持高度警惕，为的是保护它幼小脆弱的孩子。我们也不忍心再去打扰它，向着森林更深处走去……
Entering the forest, we saw tall straight and verdant pines. Thewind had blown away the clouds and the sun was shining through the tree leaves,making rays of light and shadow. We also saw squirrels, owls, black bears andelks. Fortunately, we came across a mother owl incubating the eggs. When wecame up, she covered the eggs with her chubby body and stared at us with eyeswide open. She kept alert to protect her frail babies. We could not bear todisturb her any more, so we walked further into the forest.
动物园中除了刚刚看到的这些景象，还有一些简易的游乐设施，其中给我们带来快乐最多的就数秋千了。大家在一起开心地荡着秋千，你推着我，我推着你，沉浸在阵阵欢声笑语之中。
There were some simple entertaining facilities in the zoo besidesthe animals. We had lots of fun, especially pushing one another on the swings.
时间过得很快，又要到了我们离开园子的时候了。当我们离开动物园时，惊喜的看到加拿大教育局人员还为我们准备了精美的蛋糕和果汁、饮料、矿泉水，让我们既惊喜又感动。
How time flew! It’s time for us to depart for home. When we walkedout of the zoo, Lori, a worker in AVSB (Annapolis Valley School Board)), gaveus a big surprise. She prepared for us a delicate big cake and some drinks likejuice and mineral water, which surprised and touched us.
徜徉在动物园中，踏着软软的青草，聆听树叶的沙沙声响，感受那缕缕清风，沉醉在这这大自然特有的宁静，心情完全放松，一种说不出的情愫涌上心头，大概就是梭罗的《瓦尔登湖》所描述的那种人与自然之间的独特领悟吧！
In the zoo, stepping on soft grass, listening tothe rustling of leaves, feeling the breeze, indulging in the unique tranquilityof nature, feeling completely relaxed, a kind of indescribable feelings in myheart, probably Thoreau's "Waldensee" describes the kind of uniqueunderstanding between man and nature!
大自然，多么美好而又多么伟大！它馈赠给人类的太多，而我们又给予自然什么呢？不由得心想，只要我们爱护自然、尊重生命、追求和谐，生活中处处都可以给我们带来美好的感受！这不正是我们宿苏外“育生命自觉”的生动诠释吗！真心希望我们每个人，不分国界，不分种族，携起手来共同保护好我们赖以生存的地球！
What fantastic nature! It presents much, whilewhat do we offer her in return? It comes to us that as long as we love nature,respect lives and pursue harmony, we can feel good things everywhere in ourlife. It is really a good interpretation of “To educate self-consciousness” ofSSFLS. We truly hope people of every race and all countries work together to protectour home—the earth!

April 19 Rainy
Today is Thursday. I had so many interesting lessons today such asPE, Reading, Word Study and so on. At the third class, Mr. Zu came to our classand taught us a special lesson about China. Everyone in my class was so excitedThey said they would visit China when they grew up. After school, I went toLanden’s grandparents’. We had supper there. We enjoyed the meal. We hadchicken, potatoes, peas and carrots. After supper, I had a delicious ice cream.After that we played together. We arrived home at 8:20 pm. They watched TV andI did my homework that Jack gave us. I also memorized the new English words Icame across during the day.
