Duringthe past month, our students not only have been experiencing the Canadianeducation and culture, but have been spreading Chinese culture. Every Thursdaythey introduce Chinese culture, like the national flag, location, population, cities, festivals, schools, food etc. They can understand the differences ofthe two cultures better, enrich personal experiences, heighten the sense ofpatriotism and improve their abilities of multicultural communication.

Common Canadians know little about Chinabesides those daily products with “Made in China and the delicious Chinese food– spring rolls in Chinese restaurants. Most of them pay little attention toChina and they even don’t know where China is and what China looks like.

Our students have showed the Canadians some talents likecalligraphy, origami and playing the flute, and also teach them daily Chinese. Theyare trying to build a bridge of communication between the Canadian students andChina by introducing China and Chinese culture to them.

Hello, my friend. I am Sam Wu. I want toshare with you something interesting having happened in Canada.

This week, we went to a Chinese restaurant. We enjoyed Canadian Chinese Food here. Well, It is far away from our home.It  took us about 40 minutes on the way.But finally we got there. “China Village Restaurant” , a big sign came into mysight. Then, we entered it. And then, I saw lots of red things. The tables, chairs, the lights even the uniforms of the waiters. Very cool, right? Alsothis was a buffet. It means after we pay . We can eat anything we want.

Then, the waitress took us to a large table. After we put our stuffs down, we went to pick our food to eat. I picked lotsof rice, some chicken with vegetables, raviolis, sweet and sour pork ribs andsome shrimps. All of the food was very delicious. But I thoughtit was very hardto eat with forks and knives. So I asked for some chopsticks. Then George, thefather of my host family, asked Chopsticks for every child in our home. So whenall of us got chopsticks, I showed  themhow to use them. But it was tricky for them to use chopsticks .  They all gave up at last.

After that, we went shopping. We boughtlots of things here. Food, daily necessities, Xbox game discs ,some gift cardsand some toys too. But not too many. Justin, the boy in our home, bought theRainbow Six For Xbox One. Others and I bought Minecraft for Xbox One and LeftFour Dead 2 For Xbox 360. Anyway, we bought a lot. Then, we went home.

These are the interesting things thathappened in this week. See you.
