A trip to Canada
行是知之始，知是行之成。北京时间2018年2月5日，由5名学生和1名带队老师组成的宿苏外赴加冬令营团于上海浦东机场隆重起航!宿苏外徐学根校长和陈莉副校长给我们送行，同时家长们也组成了一个强大的亲友团为孩子们送机。经过13小时的飞行，冬令营一行终于抵达此次目的地——多伦多市。
On February 5th, five students and a teacher of Suqian Suzhou Foreign Language School started a two-week trip to Canada. Leaders of SSFLS saw us off and parents came to Shanghai Pudong International Airport to see us off. After 13 hours of flight, we finally reached the destination: Toronto.
为期两周的冬令营活动，我们会游览加拿大很多著名景点，成功登顶Skylon塔。在孩子们的欢呼雀跃中，从空中俯瞰壮观的尼亚加拉大瀑布和美国瀑布。在大瀑布观景台，我们近距离体验了大瀑布磅礴的气势，真切地感受到了大瀑布的温度。
During the trip, we visited many places of interest in Canada, including Skylon Tower. On the top of the tower, we enjoyed the splendid scenery of the Niagara Falls and American Falls. We were so lucky to have the chance to take a close look at the Falls.
来到加拿大，多伦多市中心不可不去，我们参观了多伦多大学、市政厅、省议会大厦。最让孩子们兴奋不已的是，亲眼目睹了多伦多标志性建筑、世界上最高塔之一——CN塔。
We also visited Toronto University, Toronto Municipal Hall and Ontario Parliment Building. To our excitement, we saw Toronto’s landmark-- the CN Tower, one of the highest towers in the world.
在哈利法克斯市，我们走进加拿大著名的圣玛丽大学和达尔豪斯大学，感受了浓浓的学习氛围。我们来到哈利法克斯著名景点：哈利法克斯港口、大西洋海洋博物馆和哈利法克斯城堡。随后，我们到达了新斯科舍省标志性景点佩吉湾，感受了那里独特的加拿大传统文化魅力。
In Halifax, we went to visit Saint Mary’s University and Dalhouse University. Upon entering the universities, we were touched by the strong academic atmosphere. Then we visited some places of interest in Halifax, such as Halifax Harbour, Maritime Museum of the Atlantic and Halifax Citadel. Later, we went sightseeing in Peggy Cove in Nova Scotia, experiencing the unique Canadian cultures and customs.
“纸上得来终觉浅，绝知此事要躬行。”孩子们亲临曾经只在书上和电视上见过的地方，兴奋之情溢于言表，收获颇多：
No practice, no gain in one’s wit. What we learned from books is superficial after all. We learned a lot from the trip.

I was very happy to go to Canada. There was fresh air and a blue sky. I really liked here. I made some friends, and we played games and chatted together. I shared some interesting Chinese things with my Canadian friends.

I was very excited to take part in the winter camp to Canada.
We visited many places of interest in Canada. Looking down at the Niagara Falls from the air, I felt very excited. We also visited Toronto University. I hope someday I can enter this university for further study.

It was very exciting to have visited many famous tourist spots in Canada. During this trip, What excited me most is that we saw the CN tower, one of the tallest towers in the world.
How exciting it was to have joined in this winter camp!
