——记宿苏外赴加拿大冬令营活动之三
九州日月开春景，四海笙歌颂狗年。安那波利斯市的市长TimothyHabinski先生专程来到营地，在新春佳节为我们送上红包，让我们感受到了加拿大人民的友好与热情。当地报纸也开设专栏，报道了我们在安那波利斯市的生活和学习，让更多的加拿大人了解我们，了解中国。
The Chinese New Year is celebrated on February 16th,2018, which marks the beginning of a new lunar according to the traditionalChinese calendar. People held different activities to celebrate the Year of theDog all over China. Timothy Habinski, the Mayor of Annapolis, went to the campto give us red envelopes with money inside on Chinese New Year’s Day. We weredeeply impressed by the friendship and passion of the Canadian people. Thelocal newspaper also reported our life and study there, making more Canadiansknow about us and get information about China.
此次赴加拿大冬令营不仅有丰富多彩的游览活动，还有充实有趣的学习活动。在入住安那波利斯市特洛伊中心后，我们首先了解了活动营地并参与了营地晚会和电影之夜的营地团队拓展训练。
Besidesthe colorful trip activities, we also took part in many interesting studyactivities. After checking in the Troy Center in Annapolis City, firstly we got familiar withthe camp. Then we participated in a series of outward bound training, such asthe party and the movie night.
在营地，我们深入学习了北美实用英语，走进当地中学，和加拿大的同学一起参与校园活动。我们与他们一起交流，向他们展示了中国传统文化的无穷意蕴。此外，我们还在阿卡迪亚大学客串了一回大学生，感受到了成长的快乐。一切都新鲜刺激、精彩纷呈！
Duringthe trip, in order to study practical North-American English, we walked intothe local middle schools and joined in their campus activities. We communicated with the local students, showingthem the endless implication and beauty of our traditional culture.Moreover,we also acted as college students in Acadia University, from which we experienced the happiness ofgrowing up. Everything is so fresh, exciting andsplendid!
营地活动丰富、有趣，户外活动极具特色又充满挑战。最让我们欣喜的是有机会参加自然探险活动。通过活动，我们深入了解了新斯科舍省的历史文化，
There werenot only colorful and interesting activities but also distinctive andchallenging outdoor fun. What madeus ecstatic is that we had the opportunity of exploring the nature. Wegot a deep knowledge of the history and culture of Nova Scotia by doing so.
我们学会了打冰球、冰壶，体验了滑冰和远足，享受到了在冰上游玩的乐趣。在Ross农场，我们亲身实践，学习了不一样的农场文化。
Welearned how to play ice hockey as well as curling. We also went skating andhiking, enjoying the fun of ice-sports. On Ross farm, we experienced adifferent kind of farm culture by practising on our own.
新时代的青少年不仅要读万卷书，更要行万里路。这一幅幅生动的画面，记录了我们欢乐的瞬间，一张张温馨的照片叙说着成长的故事。通过此次活动，我们加深了对中外文化差异的认识和理解，丰富了个人经历、开拓了视野。感谢中国，感谢加拿大，感恩宿苏外，圆了我们通苏州、达世界的求学梦想。
As young students of the new era, we should notonly read thousands of books but also travel to as many places as possible.Vivid scenes of this trip record moments of our pleasure while excitingpictures irritate the story of our growth. This trip deepens our understandingand knowledge of the cultural differences between China and Western countries,which enriches our personal experience and widen our horizon. We do believethat the students from Suqian Suzhou Foreign Language School can go over here, shareSuzhou education resources and head for the world.
ZhangXinyi: During this trip, I learned many usefulthings. The most important is that I had the courage to communicate with theforeigners. Through this activity, my oral English was practised and improved,which is helpful to my English study. What a perfect thing!
HuangFa: What impressed me most is that I experiencedcurling. It was the first time that I had played it. Through this sport, Irealized the importance of working as a team. Everyone should try his best inorder to win. How exciting it was to learn the skill of curling!
