3月12日，宿迁市苏州外国语学校再次迎来了特殊的客人——加拿大渥太华格兰尚中学师生团一行。徐校长、陈校长对他们的再次到来表示热烈地欢迎。
On March 12, Suqian Suzhou ForeignLanguage School welcomed the delegation of teachers and students from Glashan PublicSchool in Ottawa, Canada. Two of our principals, Mr Xu and Miss Chen exhibitedthe happiness of having them here again.
校英语小导游首先带领他们参观了校园。学校大厅内传来悠扬的钢琴曲，一群宿苏外的小精灵们为加方师生赠送了精美的礼品：精致的学校图册、苏苏宿宿勋章，华丽的牡丹扇，栩栩如生的剪纸……
The English guide, one of our school’s students, showed them around the castle-like campus. As they entered the school hall, a melodious piano song flew into theirears; in the meantime, our students were lining up and holding beautiful gifts whichcontain an exquisite school album, a Susu badge, beautiful paper cutting and anelaborate gift from the Arts Group.
漫步至宿苏外的“大英”图书馆，映入眼帘的是万卷藏书，书香沁人心脾。古筝、沙画、书法，高山流水、笔走龙蛇，加方师生欣赏着、赞叹着，并在留言薄上签名留念。
When strolling to the mini "British Library”,our Canadian friends were all attracted to a mountain of books, magazines andvarious artistic instruments, like Guzheng, Sand Paintings and Calligraphy. Thediversity and profoundness deeply appealed to the guests. After that, the teachersand students were invited to leave their signs on the message board.
特色课程中心的长廊里展出的是我校特色课程中心孩子们的美术作品。加拿大师生们对孩子们的作品赞不绝口。孩子们用英语与格兰尚中学James校长交流，充分展现了我校孩子明礼仪、善交流的风采。
Many outstanding works of our students were ondisplay in the long aisle of the Foreign Language Featured Curriculum Center.Canadian students and teachers were deeply impressed. Our students also warmly greetedMr James in English, which showed the guests their decent demeanor andcommunication skills.
客人们走进创客空间，正在上社团课的宿外学子亲切地和他们打招呼；来到沙画教室，同学们拉着加方客人的手，鼓励他们尝试作画。语商文化馆内更是精彩纷呈，宿苏外的老师带着加方同学了解汉字的演变，学习中国的传统文化。
The next station is Maker Space, the place in which students can havethe Association class. While in the Sand Painting Classroom, our students wereholding the guests' hands and encouraging them to have a try on making sand paintings.In the Language Quotient Center, Chinese teachers were introducing Canadian studentsto the evolution of Chinese characters and some other Chinese traditionalcultures.
接下来，加方师生移步至体育馆、美术和音乐教室，和宿苏外的师生一同上课。课堂上，师生互动频频，碰撞出思维的火花，大家亲切交流，在收获中成长。
Later, the Canadian teachers and studentsmoved to the gymnasium, art room and music room to have classes together with ourteachers and students. In the classes, both Chinese and Canadian teachers andstudents actively interacted with each other, which produced sparks ofthinking. Everyone seemed to harvest a lot from the meaningful classes.
下午4时，在宿苏外的体育馆中举行了中加友好篮球赛。青春的气息如同初生的朝阳,蓬勃的力量如同阳光的挥洒，双方运动员个个生龙活虎，展开了激烈的争夺。中场休息，啦啦操社团的同学们为双方队员激情献舞、鼓劲助威。
At 4pm, the Sino-Canadian friendly basketball match was held in the gymnasium. Like the rising sun, the youngathletes completely set themselves free in the match. After watching such a fiercebattle, the audience were all cheered up by the young’s power and team spirits.At the halftime, the cheering squads showed us a passionate and beautiful dancing.
我校与加拿大师生的友好交流，增进了两国师生的相互了解，拓宽了双方学生的国际视野。今后，我校将陆续和国际友好学校进行活动交流，让师生们在活动中进步、成长，来这里，通苏州，达世界！
This exchange activity must be an excellent opportunity for Canadianpeers to learn more about our education, culture and other aspects. Similarly,our local schools benefit a lot from the exchange in terms ofinternationalization and modernization. It can be foreseen that this activitywill strengthen the mutual understanding between China and Canada throughvarious forms of exchanges and cooperation in the field of education. As afruitful exchange, it is bound to guide the staff and students of SSFLS to finda new way to Suzhou City and to a broader outside world.
