共话中加教育分享教育思想

                                  ——宿苏外成功举办中加教育互动交流活动

312日,加拿大渥太华格兰尚中学师生访问团一行走进具有苏宿情怀、英伦风范的宿迁市苏州外国语学校,携手开展中加教育互动交流活动。宿迁市人民政府外事办公室主任张岩、苏宿园区管委会副主任戈亮、宿迁市委教育工委副书记庄永之,以及宿迁市苏州外国语学校、宿迁中学、钟吾国际学校、马陵中学、青华中学、宿豫中学、宿豫实验高中、文昌高中、钟吾初中校方代表参加了交流会。交流会由宿迁市苏州外国语学校副校长陈莉主持。

 

On March 12, a visiting team of teachers and studentsfrom Glashan Public School visited Suqian Suzhou Foreign Language School andattendedthe meeting whose theme is Sino-CanadianEducation Interactive Communication.Miss Zhang, Mr. Ge,Mr. Zhuang and representatives of other schools in Suqianwere also present at the meeting host by Miss Chen.

交流会上,市外办的张岩主任作了热情洋溢的致辞,向远道而来的加拿大朋友表示热烈的欢迎。她指出,加拿大的教育水平为世界所认可,外事办将在各种活动中积极推荐和邀请教育对象,努力搭建信息交流平台,发挥国际友城的优势,提升城市教育水平。


Atthe meeting, Miss Zhang extended a warm welcome to the Canadian friends. Shesaid Canadian education had been recognized around the world and that Foreign AffairsOffice would actively recommend and invite more foreign schools, trying to providemore platforms and taking advantages of international sister-city relationshipsto enhance the level of urban education.

随后,格兰尚中学James Edward Tayler校长图文并茂地介绍了加拿大的教育体制,并结合一些教学实例分享了格兰尚中学借助深度学习教学法创立的六个C教育项目(即品德教育、公民意识、相互交流的能力、批判性的思维和解决问题的能力、相互协作的能力、创造力和想象力),强调成长型思维模式,提倡创新型教学方式。


Then,the principal James Taylorintroduced the Canadian education system. Inaddition, he shared the “six C’S”(CharacterEducation, Citizenship, Communication, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving,Collaboration, Creativity and Imagination) based on "Deep learning" teaching method,strengthening the thinking mode of growth and promoting innovative teaching methods.

在中加校长互动交流环节,大家就六个C是否涵盖了21世纪对人才的要求?”“加拿大有统编教材吗?”“如何对学生的学业水平进行测试?等问题展开了交流与探讨。中加不同的教育体制和教育理念的碰撞给双方带来了全新的教育认识和感悟。


Then, the principals discussed some issues that if the“six C’S” contains the requirement of the talentsin the 21stcentury, if there are any compile textbooks in Canada, and how we can test thestudents' academic level. The different education systems and concept betweenChina and Canada gave both sides a brand-new education understanding and comprehension.

最后,市委教育工委副书记庄永之作了总结发言,他表示,此次中加教育互动交流活动对促进我市学校与加方学校的交流合作、扩大我市对外教育开放起到了积极的意义,同时就各校教育对外合作交流工作提出了三点要求:一是要增强合作意识,提升我市教育内涵;二是要拓宽合作平台,积累国际交流经验;三是要深化合作内容,丰富优质教育资源。


Atlast, Mr. Zhuang made a conclusion that this activity made a big difference incommunication between China and Canada. At the same time, he put threerequirements: First, we need to strengthen the cooperation awareness, upgradingthe education connotation; Secondly, we need to expand the cooperation platform,accumulating the international interaction lessons; thirdly, we need to deepenthe corporation content, enriching the high education resources.

此次的交流活动,增进了加拿大同行对我市教育、文化等诸多方面的了解,推动了我市各校国际化、现代化的发展。相信通过在教育领域开展多种形式的交流与合作,如人文交流、合作办学、师生交流、浸濡修学、教师培训、课程开发、合作研究等,一定能增进中加教育部门和学术界的相互了解,促进双方学术、科研和管理水平的提高。


This meeting is an excellent opportunity for Canadianpeers to learn more about our education, culture and other aspects. Meanwhile,our local schools benefit a lot from the exchange in terms of internationalizationand modernization. It can be seen that we will promote the mutual understanding between China and Canada through various forms of programs and cooperation in the field of education.
