——宿苏外2018春赴加修学团系列报道（十）
为了增强学校学生的环保知识，提高学生的劳动观念，同时提高学生的社区主人翁意识，布里其敦地区社区学校组织全校学生进入社区开展志愿者活动，清理社区内街道路边、公园、学校以及居民院内的卫生死角、杂物。具有国际视野的宿苏外2018赴加初中修学团全体学生没有放过这次锻炼机会，主动要求参与这次志愿者活动。
In order to reinforce the knowledge of environment protection and concept of labor and enhance the realization of being a part of your communities, the BRCS organized a volunteering to clean up the streets, parks, schools and the local residents’ yards. The students of SSFLS taking part in the 2018 International Students Program took advantage of it and required actively to be volunteers of this activity.
本次活动，志愿者们分工明确，各项工作有条不紊。初中修学团学生分为两组，分赴社区小学和公园进行义工活动。经过两个小时的辛勤劳动，志愿者们将室内杂物摆放的整齐有序，同时清理了公园内的杂草、树枝等一整车垃圾，将一个个顽固的卫生死角彻底清理干净，有效的美化了社区环境。
Volunteers had specific work roles and the activity was well organized. The 6 students were divided into two groups, which respectively headed for the community primary school and the park. After working hard for two hours, the volunteers organized the stuff in the room in good order and cleared the weeds and tree branches, which made the community look nice and tidy.
初中修学团的志愿者们在参与志愿服务活动的过程中也逐步提高了自己的沟通与交际能力，培养了自己的组织与协作能力，不断地学习新知识、掌握新技能、一步步增强自信心，学会如何更好地与人交流相处等，体验到帮助别人的乐趣。初中修学团的志愿者们以实际行动诠释了为人民服务的宗旨，获得了社区居民和学校领导的广泛认可与好评。
The 6 students improved their skills of communication and developed their abilities of organization and cooperation through the volunteering. They also learned new knowledge, mastered new skills, accumulated confidence, learned how to get along and experienced happiness of helping others. The students received high evaluations of the community and the school, which well interpreted the aim of working for people through their actions.
学校志愿者服务活动的开展对构建和谐校园意义重大，通过对真善美的表现和追求，不断提升人的精神境界，实现人与自然、人与社会和谐相处。
Organizing such kind of volunteering plays a significant role in creating a harmonious school. It helps to reinforce the realm of mind and realize the harmony among human, nature and society through the pursuit of the real, the good and the beautiful.
周朗修学日记
June 2 Saturday Sunny
It was Saturday afternoon. After finishing my homework, I went outside to play. My host family has a big farm. We can have lots of fun. First, I played on the swing. When it went the highest, I jumped off the swing. Don’t worry. It’s on the farmland. I wouldn’t get hurt. Then, I played with small cobbles and threw the stones for the dog to catch. The dog ran over towards me and caught my hand. Fortunately, I didn’t got bitten. “Wow, you are really hard to understand. I am playing with you. Why do you try to bite me?” I said to the dog.

Excitement accompanied us on a country road full of grass. Although the morning sun was not bright, each of us was still engraved with a bright smile. The host family held a picnic. Walking on the furry road, enjoying the moistness of the spring breeze, watching the scene of the recovery of all things, we had some fun. In spring, everything looks very energetic.
We talked and laughed all the way together . The host family’s mother said they had a picnic every month. The picnic place will be different because it is very beautiful and has endless scenery. Unconsciously, we arrived at the forest. The branches of the trees were exposed to the fresh air. The weeds all over the land fell quietly on the ground. There were many colorful flowers on the green grass. The scenery was beautiful. Our laughter was accompanied by the sound of "squeaking."
After a while, we arrived at the picnic spot. The flat ground was covered with small stones and there was a small river nearby. We set up a tent and took out the food. We brought a lot of food. I made a chocolate cake with my host family. There were cookies, some fruits and some snacks. The host family's dad brought the oven! The host family's father and mother baked food together. We chatted and played with each other. I was very happy to chat and play with our children. Kate asked me a lot about China. She said that China was very powerful because most things were made in China. I told them many stories about my life in China, such as eating habits and holiday traditions. They were very happy and had a better understanding of China. Soon, it's time for lunch! I was hungry. I ran to the table and washed my hands. from let to right it was our favorite food. There were grilled corns, grilled sausages, shish kebabs...
After dinner, we lied on the ground and quietly enjoyed the beauty of nature. After a short break, the family father and mother took us to play games and told stories. Don't worry about anything, just enjoy the beautiful scenery.
The happy picnic will always stay in my heart!
We will soon return to China. We have ten more days left. Let’s cherish our lives in Canada.
